This camera is essentially a view camera (hence the V in the name) with a roll film back. The viewing and taking backs are hinged for ease of operation. Unlike the pinhole cameras, this camera can be focused and is capable of using standard lenses. (Note: this particular camera was destroyed by UPS in shipment home from New Mexico. It has been recently replaced with an improved model).
